Green checkmark:
The green checkmark can have several meanings in the "My applications" view. Which of these applies is always shown in green text next to it:
Green checkmark + Application documents complete:
Your application documents have been checked and you have submitted all currently required documents in full. However, a decision on your admission has not yet been made.
Green checkmark + Formal entry requirements met:
Your application documents have been checked and you have submitted all currently required documents in full. It has also been established that you fulfil the formal admission requirements. However, a decision on your admission has not yet been made. If you have applied for a master's degree programme, the next step is for the relevant examination board to check the academic entry requirements. If you have applied for a bachelor's degree programme, please check whether there are any admission restrictions for the degree programme: For aptitude assessment procedures, you will usually have to go through an aptitude interview in the next step. You will receive an invitation directly from the relevant department. Please also check your spam folder regularly. For degree programmes with a DOSV procedure, places are only allocated after the procedure has been completed (first round of allocations usually shortly after the deadline). If you have applied for an admission-free bachelor's degree programme and see this status, you can expect to be admitted within the next few days.
Green checkmark + Admission granted:
Congratulations. Your application has been reviewed and you have been admitted. You can download your letter of admission in the "Admission" section of your application.
Red Cross:
The red cross can have several meanings in the "My applications" view. Which of these applies is always shown in red text next to it:
Your application documents have been checked and there is something wrong with one or more documents. You can see which documents are affected and what exactly is not correct in the status view of the application.

Application documents not yet complete:
Your application documents have been checked but there is still something wrong with one or more documents. This status usually appears if you have already applied for your preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uni-assist for the University of Bayreuth, but the VPD has not yet been uploaded. Please check within your application whether there is any need for action on other documents apart from the VPD. Usually, you have up to 4 weeks after the application deadline to submit your VPD.
What does the status of my application mean in the "Submission of application" section of the application?
- As long as you see the question mark symbol and the text "Application documents: not yet reviewed", your application has not yet been checked.
- If you see an exclamation mark in a brown triangle
, your application has been reviewed. It has been determined that there is something wrong with one or more documents. This status usually appears if you have already applied for your uni-assist preliminary examination documentation (VPD) for the University of Bayreuth, but the VPD has not yet been uploaded. Please check the application documents below to see if there are any other documents besides the VPD that require action. Generally, you have up to 4 weeks after the application deadline to submit your VPD.
- If you see a cross circled in red
, your application documents have been checked and there is an issue with one or more of your documents. Problematic documents are also marked with a cross circled in red. Click on the document to find out exactly which steps you need to take.
- Documents marked with a green checkmark have been checked and found to be correct.
- Documents marked with a brown envelope
have not yet been reviewed by us. Particularly in the case of master's applications, it can happen that certain documents are not reviewed until the evaluation of the academic entry requirements. If you have already received a letter of admission, then a brown envelope is fine unless you see a requirement regarding that document in your admission letter.
- Documents marked with a brown clock + deadline
have not yet been submitted. Please submit them before the relevant deadline. Exception: The documents that have not yet been submitted are "optional documents" or slots for translations that are not required because your original certificate has already been issued in German or English. You can recognise optional documents by the fact that they are listed under the heading "Documents stated herein may be included in your application".
What does the status of my application in CAMPUSonline in the section "Admission" mean?
As long as you see the greyed-out cross symbol 
and the text "Admission not performed yet", no final decision was made on your application yet.
For master's degree programmes, the examination always consists of two partial examinations of the admission requirements: the formal and the subject-specific examination of the admission requirements. For bachelor's degree programmes, depending on the type of admission, although there is only a status for the formal admission requirements, there may also be an aptitude assessment evaluation afterwards if these are fulfilled.
As soon as the formal or subject-related admission requirements have been marked with a red x , this means that your application has unfortunately been rejected.

As soon as the symbol with the green checkmark appears next to "Admission", this means that you have been accepted and your admission letter is ready for download.
